I did a web search on "platonic friendships" and this site was in the search engine.
I ended up meeting my best friend on here! We've been friends for almost a decade now! We are very close, almost like sisters! I couldn't have asked for someone better in my life than her.
I've come back here from time to time, but I've realized that a lot of the profiles are dead profiles because no one logs in anymore. Which is why I'm going to delete my account.
One life-long friend I've made here, and she is the best thing that has happened to me on here since I joined. I joined on here during a really rough patch in life, was not expecting anything to come of it. But we had both been on here at the right time, we were brought together for a reason. I couldn't have imagined that I'd meet someone who is exactly the same as me, but so drastically different from me. I couldn't imagine my life without my best friend/sister in it.
I've been on other sites where many ladies wanted to meet or chat just with ladies and would request "ladies only" to respond but they were still bothered by men. Well, this site is the perfect solution to that as it concentrates only on ladies finding other ladies for friends. Too busy to meet up in person? This site is still a great place to hang out in the forums with other ladies. In person or for chat friends this is a great site for gals.
i have just joined but i have a new friend already
Usually, it's a lot more difficult for me to get along with women and find real friends than it's been since I joined this site. We've already got 4 or 5 people and we met up at Panera yesterday. Really cool.
I met my best friend on GFS. We clicked right away and even though I have since moved out of town, we remain tight - I'm going to be her maid of honour!
I have been using Girlfriend Social for 9 months and I absolutely love it. I enjoy meeting new people and gaining more friendships. It does takes time to develop friendships but it is really worth it in the end. This site is perfect for all women looking to make awesome friendship! I've been using GFS for about a year now, and I absolutely love it! I have made a few friends from this website and I am so happy to have them a part of my life!
I must say this is a great site to get to meet very nice ladies and I have had learning enlightening experiences. I met some wonderful people and had a great click with a local lady who is a wonderful friend and we have exchanged many texts and had some one on ones. We also exchanged Christmas cards and I am looking forward to our friendship growing. I hope to make many more wonderful friends here since everyone can always make more friends.
I also met a long distant texting pal who I enjoy "chatting" with.
I joined this site awhile ago and it took a little while but i actually met someone from this site and she and I are great friends and I am glad that i met her she and i talk daily!

I've met one of my best friend on GFS. It has been over 4 years since we have met and I love this girl. If it had not been for GFS, I would not have her in my life now. We would not have shared our marriage announcements, children growing, and all the other special events we have shared together. We have been through so many ups and downs in our lives and it is a blessing that we have had one another. I definitely consider her my best friend.
I wasn’t very confident that I would meet a girlfriend when I got on this site. I not only met a girlfriend but she is the sister and daughter I never had. We have been getting together regularly and we have plans to travel when the covid is no longer causing restrictions. We both prayed to meet someone special and our prayer was answered. She is truly a blessing.
I don't have a lot of confidence in going to meet new people and nowadays you can't just go up to someone and say 'Hi would you like to be friends and hang out?' you get strange looks, already I've had some great people to chat with, who we are already making plans to eventually meet. I joined GFS awhile ago because i moved to a brand new state by myself and i wanted to meet new friends. I have met some really wonderful people and still have friendships with a few people today!
I joined this site a while back and I am now just getting back into it. It's great to see improvements and great new changes to the website.

When I joined Girlfriends Social my whole life changed.
I made so many friends that I'm never at a loss when I wish to go out with company.
Yesterday I met up with a few ladies whom I've originally met on this site and meet regularly as well as a new lady. We even arranged to organize a 2 week trip together to Spain next year.
It's unbelievable.

I met the most amazing friend on this site and we do so much together, have a lot of fun with each other. we meet at great places , have brunch do dinner and drinks, have a Christmas Thieves party every year, we are planning a painting class next . never a dull moment with us

I think the idea of a social network for women to make friends is a genius idea! I have already made some nice girlfriends and I just joined. I joined girlfriend social awhile ago cause I moved from my home state of New Jersey to Pennsylvania and I wanted to find some girlfriends to hang out with which I did and i keep in contact with a lot of the friends I made on here.....i found this site just by Google search and I miss having the chat feature....I still love this website
Within a couple of months of joining, I met my new friend. We were both surprised how many interests we have in common, and how well we get on. We now text each other every day and meet up often.

I’ve only been on here for like.. less then a day? I’ve messages a good handful of people, just trying to put myself out there and cast a wide net of people who have similar enough interest. So far, 2 replies and I’m really hitting it off with both of them! It’s such a relief to make friends on a website without loads of people only messaging you to hook up.
I've met like five or so women from this site. The best one of all unfortunately moved to the other side of the country. I haven't had any bad experiences!
